Henk Ykelenstam Exhibit & Sale Continues @ Gallery 18
The exhibit and sale of original works or art by the late Prince Edward Island artist Henk Ykelenstam is continuing at Gallery 18 in New London. The exhibit includes oils, multi-media pieces and graphite sketches. Many of the works in the show have been made available by way of special arrangements with the Ykelenstam estate. Henk Ykelenstam (1929-1992) was an accomplished artist in the super realism style. During his lifetime he exhibited at galleries in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and the Toronto International Art Fair. In addition, he was featured in two separate solo exhibitions at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown. Ykelenstam was also a talented musician and performed with several orchestras across Canada. Gallery 18 is open daily during the summer season.
