Art Discussion Group

Lively Art Discussion Group – Monthly Topics, Occasional Workshops, Tours,Lunches

We meet to “appreciate” Art in a format that’s similar to the usual book-club presentation (only our subject area is Art). Topics are set for each month and we dive into a study of that subject (often veering into related material!). We’ve studied the characteristics of Byzantine Art, Impressionist, and more (European, Asian, Muslim). We sometimes visit gallery openings, tours – and the occasional lunch. In July, we had a silk-painting event followed by a potluck dinner. Some of our group paint yet others don’t. Our common interest is Art.
