Hello and Happy Mid-Winter from Argyle Fine Art! As our PRE-SHRUNK show soon comes to a close we are preparing for another group show to open in April. Please find the Call for Submission ONLINE HERE and below.
GET OUTTA TOWN!
We are excited to be preparing for a show about “getting outta town”, hitting the road, skies, seas, hiking trails, beaches….Let this theme be your inspiration! This will be a juried show, as we can’t include as many pieces as we would ever like. The show will be in-person and online too! We’d love to hear from artists from all over Canada and the world and have a virtual map of amazing places to visit and see, through the eyes of the artists! We are interested in both works of art as well as fine art craft or fun paper/ gift type items. Think travel document holders, luggage tags etc….we WILL be able to travel again, sometime. In the meantime, let’s go on a vacation with art, with your help!
With this exhibit we are hoping to take the viewer on a journey to secret places and spaces that you LOVE in your province, town, city etc. It could be a landscape, it could be the view from the car, it could be a camper or tent, it could be an exotic trip to a warmer place….YOU DECIDE. There are no restrictions on size or medium.Maybe you have a favourite roap trip tune or two you’d like to illustrate…think outside the usual!
We would love to have a few works here by March 21st to be here during a streaming virtual show for a local musician we are hosting and would include a few artists to our virtual live chat as a preview, but the full show will open on SATURDAY, APRIL 3rd, 1:30-3:30pm. Therefore the absolute deadline to receive images can be no later than March 20th.
Please title your image files as follows
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: SATURDAY, MIDNIGHT MARCH 20th
However we are happy to receive images of works anytime and will attempt to get back to all as soon as possible prior to this date if the jury is certain they can include your piece (s) , to allow more time for delivery of artworks.
