HEAR TELL: A Podcasting Survey for Artists, Arts Organizations and Arts Workers in Atlantic Canada

HEAR TELL: A Podcasting Survey!

Attention Artists, Arts Workers and Arts Organizations in Atlantic Canada! Are you interested in learning about podcasting? Or do you have some experience with podcasting already? If you answered yes to either of these questions, we would like to hear from you! Participants can be entered to win a gift subscription to Visual Arts News magazine and a free webinar.

Visual Arts Nova Scotia is developing HEAR TELL, an online podcast training program that will be tailored to meet the needs of those working in the arts in Atlantic Canada. We have created a simple 10 minute questionnaire to better understand what the training needs are in our community, as well as to assess the current levels of podcasting experience and knowledge.

We are tailoring the training program specifically to the visual and media arts community but it will also be relevant to other arts groups in the Atlantic region and beyond. We would be grateful to hear from anyone in Atlantic Canada (NB, NL, NS, PE) who identifies as an artist, an arts worker or is affiliated with an arts organization.

Click here to complete the survey

Please complete the survey by Monday, May 18th at 11:59pm. Here’s the link:

If you have any questions about this survey, or the Hear Tell Podcast Training Initiative, please contact Eryn Foster here:

Visual Arts Nova Scotia gratefully acknowledges the Canada Council for the Arts and funding for this project through the Digital Strategy Fund.

We’re Back!

This Thursday, we are back to our regular hours.

What’s happening at the YQM Airport?

We’ve switched all of the Artwork at the Greater Moncton Roméo Leblanc International Airport and we’ve installed a new exhibition in the Airport Gallery!

The new exhibition expresses the concept of “Home.”

Is it a location?

Is it a person?

Is it a moment?

We connect comfort with the word home. What does home mean to you?

Features paintings by local artists:

Cecil D. Long, Roch Bourque, Rebecca Belliveau, Raymonde Fortin, Jon Fox, Dennis A. Reid and photography by André Poirier.

Black Rabbit

February marked our 2 year art curation partnership with Black Rabbit!

Our 1st collaboration was at their pop up restaurant in Dieppe featuring paintings by Jared Betts, Raymonde Fortin and sculptures by Cecil D. Long

The 2nd was at their summer pop up restaurant in Shediac featuring paintings by Jon Fox!

The 3rd, in their permanent location featuring paintings by Cecil D. Long and Jared Betts, on view right now!

We now smell what they’re cooking everyday because our Gallery is just above their wonderful Restaurant! Who knew we would end up being neighbours!

André Poirier

made the front page of the Times & Transcript last week!

His beautiful photograph of Hopewell Rocks covered in a mist of snow bellow the Milky Way was the star of the article.

Bravo André!
