Jean Pedersen will be in Shediac, NB this June for two workshops: acrylic and watercolour!

Jean Pedersen, an award-winning artist and author of “Expressive Portraits: Creative Methods for Painting People”, will be in Shediac, NB this June for two workshops: acrylic and watercolour.

Do not miss this opportunity to learn from an artist whose practice includes people, still life, landscape and abstraction. Texture and mixed media are important in her wide-ranging skill set, as are unique approaches to transparent watercolour.

Jean will bring all her skills to your workshop experiences, encouraging you to take risks and work beyond your usual limits. Demos and personal attention play an important part in the Pedersen workshop experience.

Six week Painting Workshop with Leya Evelyn

Creating Abstraction in Painting

A six week painting workshop to meet every other week on Wednesdays 11am-4pm.

These classes include discussion, work time and critiques of work in class as well as on your own time. We explore where your art is now and where it could be.

The format will be with exercises for the first hour or two and then you can work on your own pieces or continue with what you started in the morning. The exercises are intended to open up different possibilities within the realm of abstraction. These workshops will challenge, satisfy, frustrate and give you a foundation for creating solid painting ideas.

DATE: April 8th, April 22nd, May 6th, May 20th, June 3rd, and June 17th.

LOCATION: St. Luke’s Church in Tantallon, NS

FEE: $350 (for all 6 classes), or $65 (for individual classes) per participant (materials not included). Spaces are limited and the registration list will be created on a first-come basis.
