A new twist on a popular program!
We are taking Sketching at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia outside from July 30 through to August 28, 2020.
On Thursdays and Fridays, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., weather permitting, you can take part in observational sketching in the Ondaatje courtyard with an artist. You will be provided with a sketching kit which will be pre-made and available in the courtyard. It includes a recyclable drawing board, bull-dog clip, sheets of sketching paper and a pencil.
This program will extend beyond the courtyard because you can keep all the materials and continue to develop your drawing skills at home.
This program is Free.

Paint the Town, Nova Scotia’s premiere plein air-inspired event, celebrates 25 incredible years! This year we’ve had no choice but to re-imagine the much-loved event, so we’re honouring Annapolis Region Community Arts Council’s Paint the Town annual event in a very special way: 25 years, 25 artists, 25 works of art and an online party that lasts 25 days!

This Friday and Saturday (August 14th & 15th) 14 Bells gallery will host an art pop up for two very talented Nova Scotia artists. Miro Davis and Sarah Irwin will be here with their indoor/outdoor art. If the weather cooperates you will find them in the Hydrostone park and on the sidewalk but if not, we will pop the pop up into the gallery. Either way, it is sure to be a good time. There are always lots of laughs with these two creative goddesses in the house. Miro has created a series of one of a kind ceramic planters to beautify your patio and Sarah will bring these amazing “functional” works of art.
