Dear Evelyn:

Just a quick note this morning to let you know that there are two spaces open in next week’s live online class. This will be my last one for now as my “to paint” list has been growing by the day and I need to get back to it. I hope you’ll join us, meet some old friends and new ones, as well!

Here’s the description again.

Let your imagination fly! Come with me to the lovely medieval town of Venasque, high on a cliff in Provence. Just think: you don’t even need to leave home!

I’m glad to join with Jackie and Valerie of French Escapade in this new virtual adventure. I can talk with you, demonstrate, you can paint along with me, I can look at your work and answer questions, and you will be able see each other’s work, almost as good as being all together in class!

It’s all described on the French Escapade website on the V.I.E.W. page, including answers to your questions about how it works, how to sign up and what to expect. Reserve your space in my workshop now. I’d love to see your smiling face!

This is the scene that we will be painting. As you would expect, we will be making changes in lighting and composition in order to tell the story that I envision from my visit here.

After you are registered for the workshop, I will send an email with a drawing (just as an aid, you may do you own), suggestions for a value study, color study and all the information that you will need to be totally prepared to paint along with me in the workshop.

I do not have a painting from Venasque, but in case you are not familiar with my work, I am attaching a painting done during last September’s workshop in the French Alps. Mt. Blanc from my window – wreathed in clouds. I thought it looked like whipped cream – so beautiful!

Mt. Blanc Plein Air

In case you may be apprehensive about the practical side of signing on for an online workshop, put your mind at rest. There will be a 30 minute group test prior to your online painting session to make sure you are comfortable using the application.

Hope you and your families are keeping safe.

It would be great to see you at our workshop!

Affectionately, Evelyn
