The Harbour General Store and Restaurant is hosting a show of the works of Carmen Mood and Julia Festa this coming Sunday March 8th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The store is located at 8545 Peggy’s Cove Road in the community of Indian Harbour.
An Exhibition of the Works of Julia Festa and Carmen Mood
The Harbour General Store is pleased to present a show in celebration of the works of 2 of Nova Scotia’s most endearing painters, Julia Festa and Carmen Mood. For more than a decade each artist has been producing works that capture the natural beauty of Nova Scotia and its many themes. .
Join us Sunday March 8th, between 1:00 and 4:00 pm for an opportunity to meet the artists and explore the many facets of their works.
Refreshments will be served.
Julia lives in Shad Bay, Nova Scotia and picked up her first brush some 20 years ago. She enjoys painting with oil and water colour, and is highly regarded for her ability to capture the natural beauty of Nova Scotia’s. A person of diverse interests and insight Julia’s art portrays her love of the sea, landscapes and endearing urban and rural vignettes. Her works are show cased in numerous venues across Nova Scotia.
Carmen lives in the Prospect area. Her passion for art started at an early age. Her mother, an artist herself , helped Carmen to express the world through her work. Her style is noteworthy because of her incorporation of vivid colours and intense themes. Carmen’s love of the sea and sailing vessels is made evident in many of her works. Carmen’s works can be seen at the Skyburst Art Studio and the Harbour General Store.
