Holiday Season Events

The holiday season is upon us! And with it, we have an array of events that will surely bring you all the good cheer you need. From crafts to cream tea, from campfires to carols, we have something for everyone. Nora Gross will have her Art works at this event.

Christmas Craft and Bake Sale

Come and experience our beautiful heritage houses in a whole new way! Both the Harris and Giles House will be filled with gifts and crafts: wood, textile, steel, glass, wool and paper plus delicious edibles including cupcakes and fudge. This sale features only handmade items, made by the vendors themselves; craftspeople, artisans and bakers from your own neighbourhood.

Speaking of baking! The Farm’s food table will feature scrumptious treats from CHRHS volunteers as well as the Rose and Kettle kitchen. Pies, fruit cake, loaves, cookies, jams, chutneys and pickles, everything you need for holiday entertaining. Scones, fresh from the oven, available all day!

The Blacksmith Shop will be open and forge running.

Free Admission, hot spiced cider available.

Please be aware that limited vendors are able to process debit/credit cards, so do bring along cash.

Call for Bakers!

Always the highlight of the Christmas Craft and Bake Sale is the Farm’s own bake table. It needs your help! Can you contribute some of your favourite seasonal baking? A fruit loaf, mince pies, a batch of cookies? Customers flock to the the CHRHS bake table!

You can drop your baking donations into the tearoom on Saturday, November 23rd between 10am and 4pm or Sunday morning after 9am. Or give us a call at 902-434-0222 and we will pick them up! All bake sale proceeds go back into the Farm Museum and its winter projects!
