Dartmouth Visual Arts Society is hosting it’s last workshop for 2019 on November 30th.
Come out and learn how to paint male cardinals in a winter scene. A sketch will be provided by Twila Robar-Decoste for use on the day that won’t infringe on copyright.
Also, it would be good if people had cadmium red light and Winsor red or quinacridone red equivalent. Basically a bright warm red and a cooler red. Also, cad. yellow. Most will have these colours in their palette anyway. We will work on 140 lb CP paper as it is quite general, HP is my preference, but a good quality not too textured CP will work fine.
I will discuss bird painting, colour choices, layering paint and backgrounds (for this workshop I will demonstrate painting snowy pine branches as well as the cardinal). There will be some short exercises in between drying times.
The workshop will be held at the South End Baptist Church in Dartmouth 50 Hastings Drive.
Please respond to Violet 902-403-7630 if you are interested in attending.
Coffee, tea and goodies will be provided, but it is suggested that you bring a lunch.
