SmartPhone Photography Workshop

with Alexa Cude

Taking photographs of your art isn’t easy and many people believe the only way to do this is with lots of camera equipment and lighting but there are ways to get great photos of your art with just the use of a smartphone and some free apps. Alexa Cude is a well-know photographer and social media influencer. We are delighted to have teach us how to work some magic. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: A smartphone with a data plan as we may be doing some editing etc away from the gallery wifi, a small piece of artwork by you, that you’d like to try photographing. Also download the free editing apps on your phone called Snapseed and VSCO before attending. 


OddBOT Workshop with Kevin MacLean
Wednesday, September 18th, 6pm-8pm, $50


This workshop is great for all ages. Join artist Kevin MacLean and make something out of nothing!  This is a hands on make and take workshop in which participants will use reclaimed materials, hadwared, wire, aluminum tape, foam and other objects to create a small sculpture of a robot. Kevin is a metal oddment artist who created sculptures, jewelry and stange inventions using reclaimed object and high tech junk. All supplies are included and no previous experience is necessary. Try something new this Fall!

Prepare for a productive Fall and put your creative ideas in motion! Join Adriana Afford of Creative Curate and learn how to begin marketing and showcasing your art in a creative, professional and affordable way. The workshop will touch on various ways to engage  using popular social media channels to your advantage, and will also lead you through a series of questions to facilitate a lively brainstorming session of how to begin to reach your various creative goals. A one time personalized online follow-up with each participant will be included to see how those ideas are being implemented, tested and measured.
