The reviews are coming in, and camp is on!

The theatre is launched!

“Two Planks and a Passion Theatre has created magic again in two intense, thrillingly dramatic stories that are multi-faceted gems of theatrical art told outdoors in a glorious natural environment at the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts just over the North Mountain in the Annapolis Valley. You can’t get a better off-the-beaten-path, theatrical experience.” – Elissa Barnard

We’ve had a perfect opening week for In This Light and are thrilled to be playing the show by Governor-General Award-winning playwright Catherine Banks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays at 6 pm, and on Sunday afternoons at 2 pm.

Elissa Barnard call In This Light “a 90-minute thunderbolt of a play about speaking truth to power in the 1930s in the Annapolis Valley…People who loved the 2017 suffragist musical Nothing Less! will enjoy In The Light” –Read the full review

Amanda Campbell says “it leaves us feeling hopeful that what is true and what is right will shine on.” Read the full review

Gothic Musical Frankenstein Enthralls

Audiences are mesmerized by Ken Schwartz and Allen Cole’s gothic musical
about the humanity of a monster, and the monstrosity of a man. Ken Schwartz spoke with CBC Radio’s Alex Mason about the show last week.
Listen here.

“Frankenstein by Fire is a chilly tale told around a blazing fire with a remarkable score by Allen Cole, excellent singing, animated performances and great movement with extraordinary gothic costumes by Jennifer Goodman that would fit well in any Vampire movie. It is…, like any good, campfire ghost story, full of bursts of noise and creepy movements in the shadows.” – Elissa Barnard – Read the full review
