We are currently accepting applicants for our Solstice Market, part of the Full Circle Festival, held June 22nd & 23rd from 10am until 4pm at the Newport Landing Waterfront Park.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the historically sold out music festival welcomes over 400 people to the community of Avondale for a fun filled and relaxing weekend spent enjoying the start of another summer season.
The Solstice Market is open free to the public and showcases a variety of local crafters, small businesses, organizations and food vendors, which make it an attraction for locals and tourists alike. There will be a variety of workshops taking place along the waterfront throughout the weekend including yoga and drumming and on Sunday morning the Avon River Heritage Society will be hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser and the Basin Brothers will perform a public concert on the lighthouse stage.
Each year we provide a small number of community booths to not for profits and charities in the area who are looking to get the word about about their own events and activities. Joining us this year is the Hantsport Music Festival, Windsor Co-housing and Avon River Arts, who will be hosting free paper lantern making workshops in collaboration with Shore Hall Studios and Ditch Flower Gallery.
