At ROSS CREEK Tis the Season!

Join us in Canning for a Community Supper!

Ross Creek’s fabulous new chef Kathleen Novelia and our volunteers are working with the Canning Food Bank, local farmers, and local musicians to make a fabulous community event for all! Join in the fun of making and enjoying a meal with the community along with live music and good vibes!

All are welcome at the Lion’s Hall in Canning  for any part of the evening on Sunday, December 9: Cooking starts at 4pm, supper is at 6pm, and clean up is finished by 8pm. We use gleaned food from local farms, and make enough delicious food to send lots to the Food Bank – it’s a win, win, win! Join us for live music and great food, building community!

We have a small favour to ask. At this time of year, as people turn their attention to giving and to community, Ross Creek and Two Planks are trying to make sure we have enough donations to make the summer theatre, the arts arts education, and everything else we do here possible.

We have a special opportunity this year to have your donations for our programs matched by donors up to a maximum of $20,000. This will enable us to do what we do better, and serve more people in and through the arts.

We hope you might consider helping us get to this next level, with your funding allocated in the way that means the most to you, and every dollar making a difference to families, children, artists, and audiences.

The Lewis Collection of Masks

Our exquisite gallery show of international masks collected by Sara Lee Lewis and her late husband, Herb Lewis continues till December 21, with the public welcome from 10-3 Tuesdays through Saturdays. The exhibit creates a conversation between the masks from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America, and the collectors themselves.

Welcome Below the Salt’s Hamlet company!

Ross Creek is delighted to welcome Below the Salt, a company of players who will be rehearsing their production of Hamlet at Ross Creek before its run at the Neptune Studio Theatre in January.

Directed by our own Ken Schwartz, the Ross Creek residency and Neptune presentation of Hamlet will include Jackie Torrens as Hamlet, joined by Burgundy Code, Genevieve Steele, Matthew Lumley, Micha Cromwell, Sarah English, along with Assistant Director Emily Jewer, and Two Planks Costume Designer Jennifer Goodman. Lighting is by Susann Hudson, set design by Bob Chaisson, and stage management by Christine Oakey, with assistance by Virginia Iredale. Set pieces were built by a Ross Creek hero, Micah McGough.

We are thrilled to be hosting this incredibly talented company for their rehearsals and innovative and exciting take on Hamlet!
