My figurines are made from wire, foil and fabric.

I manipulate fabric that has been dipped (saturated) in a liquid non-toxic textile hardener. I wrap the body with two different layers of fabric. Using this same technique I can form wings, butterflies, etc.

I then add the hair and paint, or if I wish, further embellishing.

Depending on the piece, the entire process can take between 2-4 days to finish. When complete, I let the piece cure an additional day before I ‘debut’ them.

Mermaids / Fairies / Mummers/ Fisherman…Angel….etc… can be custom made using your own personal fabric : Perhaps a piece of grandmom’s apron, mom’s veil or dads shirt / tie. You can also use your own driftwood / perch/ seat. If you can imagine it, it can probably be done!
