On Saturday, Sept. 22, we celebrate the talents of local singer-songwriter, Chris Gilroy. Chris has been actively participating in our Open Mic Nights, and now it is time for her own spotlight show. Enjoy her original work and collection of familiar tunes.
The Chris Gilroy Band is from Sackville, NB. This three-piece band plays crowd favourites from old country to classic rock and is sure to keep your toes tapping. The band members have great on-stage chemistry and take pride in their performances. You’ll hear guitar, fiddle, mandolin, sweet harmonies, and bass riffs like none other! Chris is backed by her two Silver Foxes Jack “Mr. Bass” Hudson and Richard “Frenchie” Bourque. Be sure to treat yourself to this small band with big presence.

Valdy has been part of the fabric of Canadian pop and folk music for over 34 years. He’s a singer, guitarist and songwriter who catches the small but telling moments that make up life.
Remembered for Play Me a Rock and Roll Song, Valdy has sold almost half a million copies of his 13 albums, has two Juno Awards (Folk Singer of the Year and Folk Entertainer of the Year), a total of seven Juno nominations and four Gold albums to his credit.

Sandy Gillis is a native Cape Bretoner now living in Prince Edward Island. After 25 years in broadcasting he retired as partner and an Operating Director of the Maritime Broadcasting System to pursue his “funny business” as comedian “Jimmy the Janitor”. The jovial janitor has 11 CD’S to date, a successful nationally syndicated radio show, many comedy appearances on CBC Radio-TV and the Comedy Network, is a founding member of “Late Night Live”, the Hub Cap Comedy Review, has one movie under his belt, was a principal player in the TV series “Daring and Grace” and performs at conferences and theatres in Canada and the United States.
On his more serious side, Sandy is also a former United Way Campaign Chairman, Past Chairman of the Scottish Association, a former Director of the East Coast Music Association, past Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and past Chairman of the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation. Sandy has also been the Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year in 1998, 2001 and 2016.
Sandy and wife Kathy have five pretty much grown up children, and three grandchildren.
