Art in the Wilderness – Halifax
Sunday, August 26 10am-1pm
Explore your craft with the Nature Conservancy of Canada in the future Halifax Wilderness Park! Participants will have the opportunity to try out an art activity of their choice with the help of talented community artists. Paint or sketch the wilderness with Renee Forrestall, learn nature photography with Cameron and Ryan, or channel your creativity with kind krafts to make clay nature ornaments! All ages and skill levels welcome. Those wishing to partake in painting or photography will be required to bring their own equipment.

A bit about each activity:
Wilderness Photography – Cameron and Ryan, two Halifax residents and self-taught photographers will be guiding the group on a light hike highlighting the beautiful sites of the stunning and diverse Colpitt Lake area.
Nature Krafts – kind krafts will be hosting a clay ornament workshop helping you fuse art and nature into something beautiful. Participants can take their kraft home or donate it to kind krafts to support their partners. This session welcomes all ages!
Painting and Sketching – capture the landscape alongside Renee Forrestall, a long time painter of the future Halifax Wilderness Park (commonly known as the Backlands) who has work featured in galleries across the East Coast! No experience needed.
