Westcote Bell Pottery in LaHave, south of Bridgewater, next to the LaHave bakery, is expanding. We have built a brand new building that is a rebuild of the old country store, that was demolished in 1994. The building has been re-created with all the architectural elements around the front windows. Inside are two large showrooms to display the artwork created by Vaughan Smith and Jacqueline M Cohen, co-founders of the pottery.
To celebrate this 12 month project we are having an open house on May 19th, 5-8pm, catered by the LaHave Bakery with music by Pennybrook. There will also be an Empty Bowls fundraiser for the LaHave Fire House. I have donated 55 bowls to be sold at half price, $15 including soup and a roll, all proceeds going to the Lahave and District Fire Department. In addition the first 100 patrons through the doors will receive a free planter and water tray.
