Tiny Takeover at CFAT

The Centre for Art Tapes is excited to announce that we’ve received support from the 4C’s Foundation to create an exhibition of media art for kids in collaboration with our next-door neighbours Tiny Lab! Tiny Takeover: Kid Critics, will be an exhibition of media art works that deal with tactility and play. The kids at Tiny Lab will be working with their teachers and local artist Em Lawrence to learn about Media Art and critique the work. The project will culminate in an exhibition in August 2018 curated by CFAT Programming Director Tori Fleming. The exhibition will feature a critical text publication written by the children as well as an audio guide voiced by the children.

App Development at CFAT!

With the support of Canada Council’s Digital Strategy Fund, CFAT is collaborating with Edmonton-based Film and Video Arts Association (FAVA) to create a mobile app for artist run and media art centres to connect with their membership and audiences. This multi-phase project begins with national research and consultation.

CFAT is currently looking for people with an interest in design, communications and artist-run culture to join our App Committee. If you would like to be a part of this exciting new project, and learn more please contact Sally at sally@cfat.ca
