“Erotic Landscapes showcases pieces that are related to femininity, beauty and power. Women and femininity have always remained a strong focus and inspiration for my work. This series is an homage to the feminine. For me, the feminine embodies creativity, protection, eroticism, sensuality and wisdom. This show includes a variety of media, including oil painting, water colour, drawings, cyanotype, original prints, jewellery and sculpture. My curiosity drives me to explore new media and new forms of expressing myself.”

Carlos Gomez is a Colombian artist that specializes in printmaking, drawing and painting. He studied fine arts in Colombia and Canada and completed a diploma in lost wax techniques in Mexico. He has had several group and solo shows in these countries. Carlos currently splits his time between his printmaking studio in Colombia and painting in Dartmouth, NS in the company of his beautiful wife and dogs. In 2016 he was the recipient of the Main and Station Paper Award and has completed various artist residencies. He is also developing an international artist residency program at his studio Plancha Perdida in Villeta, Colombia. Erotic Landscapes is Carlos’ first show in Dartmouth, NS and he is proud to share his work with this community.
