“Sisterhood of Sound” is a collaborative project that features the original compositions of Ontario-based artists Annie Sumi and The Lifers. Inspired by the natural world, their arrangement of cello, accordion, ukulele, guitar and four-part harmonies express the dynamics and subtleties of the Canadian landscape. With support from the Ontario Arts Council, this four-piece-female ensemble will be taking this unique collaboration through the United States of America, Eastern Canada, and Continental Europe.

With the upcoming release of their album “Honey Suite”, The Lifers have received support from CBC, Spotify, and community radio for their singles “Front Door” and “Sister” (2018). Annie Sumi has received nominations for Female Vocalist (HMAs, 2015), Emerging Artist of the Year (CFMAs, 2017, Hidden Roots Collective), and Best Songwriter (TIMAs, 2016). Her recent release, “In the Unknown”, has been regarded by CBC and Community Radio across the country.
