WITHIN SIGHT OF SHORE – Battle of the Atlantic Sunday
A screening of a documentary film by Ian Macmillan.
Preceded by the short film Robert the Rat
Within Sight of Shore follows Scott Macmillan as he composes his new work to the premiere as he seeks out the remaining living survivors/rescuers and enemies of HMSC Esquimalt, the last Canadian Warship sunk in WWII in the Halifax approaches. Scott’s father was the Captain, he was often blamed for the sinking and that source of pain was in Scott’s family growing up.

From the Canso Causeway At the rotary in Port Hastings, turn left onto Route 19 to the village of Inverness.
From Sydney Follow Hwy 105 to The Red Barn. Turn right at Exit 7 to Margaree Forks, turn left onto Route 19 to the village of Inverness.
The entrance of the Centre is at the north end of the village on the opposite side of the highway from The Inverness Beach Village.
