2018 Academy Faculty Announcement

We are thrilled to announce two of our Summer Academy faculty members.

The goal of the Academy is to provide students 14–18 years old with an intensive pre-professional experience in the arts, where they learn to be creative thinkers and communicators. We emphasize artistic skill development, creativity, and innovation under the mentorship of professional artist faculty. Students enrol in one discipline as their core, and also spend time creating multidisciplinary collaborative projects with their peers. Choose between Theatre, Visual Arts, Film, Choreography, Writing or Music.
This year, we are delighted to be joined by Sara Hartland-Rowe for Visual Arts, and best-selling novelist Ami McKay, who will be co-teaching the writing academy with Ken Schwartz.  Register for the Academies

We were so honoured to have  JJ Lee in residence with us in February and in attendance for the opening of her show, ReOriented, which is open until March 29. Come join us and explore the fabulous vision of Halifax-raised Lee as she examines Chinese Canadian food and cultural history in a 60 foot scroll.
