Gallery 78: Anne Dunn’s ode to New Brunswick, New Work, and an exciting spring line-up!

As the shortest month of the year draws to an end, we are celebrating the bursts of sunny days we get in Fredericton, and brightening up our walls with two exquisite and exciting exhibitions, Nigadoo, New Brunswick Summer Song by Anne Dunn, and New Work.

These exhibitions are now online, and will hang at the gallery from February 23 to March 18. More details and images below, as well as a glimpse into our upcoming exhibitions and an invitation to consign works by Molly or Bruno Bobak.

Anne Dunn – Nigadoo, New Brunswick Summer Song
Starting February 23, Nigadoo, New Brunswick Summer Song  is a collection from many summers of the intimate impressions of an artist’s kinship with the natural world of Northern New Brunswick.

Renowned artist Anne Dunn pays homage with each considered brushstroke. Her warm colour palettes are reminiscent of sunny afternoons. Her landscapes are delightful and welcoming; it feels as if you can step inside, feel the warmth, and breathe in the woods’ scent.
For a time of year in New Brunswick that is snowy, icy, occasionally sunny, and fraught with messy roads, a summery body of work is precisely what is needed to lead us into the hopeful months of spring. Click here or on any image above to see more of Anne’s paintings!

New Work

New work on display until March 18 includes colour, bliss, and excitement with paintings by Amber Leger, Gerard Collins, Christopher Harding, and Raymond Martin!

Photographer Peter Thompson perfectly captures the bold, contrasting textures of the region of Durham Bridge, NB.

A common thread in most of these paintings is landscape: each with their own medium, process, techniques, and vision, these artists have brought to life natural scenes from around the province in their unique way. Click here or on any of the images above to view the pieces on our website!
