Calls for Artist Submissions 2018

Calls for Artist Submissions 2018
The Baccalieu Gallery is  a contemporary fine art gallery offering original works of art, all with a connection to water. The gallery sits near the shores of Trinity Bay in historic Heart’s Content and embraces its rural location. The work in the gallery reflects Newfoundland’s coast and aquatic environment through rich interpretations by visual artists and artisans
The gallery showcases the boats and water paintings of palette knife artist Jeanette Jobson, complemented by the work of a range of talented gallery artists.
The Gallery invites submissions from artists to participate in spring and summer exhibitions in Heart’s Content, NL as well as submissions for seasonal representation by the gallery.
The Baccalieu Gallery welcomes submissions from artists for representation for the 2018 season (May to October). The Gallery’s theme is aquatic and all pieces have a direct or indirect connection to water. This category is broad and aside from classic nautical and seascapes it can include animals and birds that are found in aquatic environments, plant life that grows in ocean, lakes or ponds or figurative pieces that have a strong water element within them. Think laterally and you’ll find connections to water everywhere!
Deadline for submissions:
April 30, 2018
Professional and emerging artists may apply and all submissions will be reviewed before final approval.
The Baccalieu Gallery opens on May 12 and closes October 26, 2018.
