Sherbrooke Village is pleased to announce a new artist in residence program for 2018. Three established, professional Canadian artists, crafters or writers will be juried by a selection committee to live and work in the historic village for a three-week period. A gallery/studio will be provided with separate living accommodation available for the artist. An honorarium will be provided to assist with travel and living expenses. There is an expectation that the artist will have their studio/gallery open for the public while in residence.
Sherbrooke is situated on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia and is brimming with local colour and maritime history. Sherbrooke Village is a mecca for artists, photographers and musicians, and has offered arts courses, and exhibitions for many years.
