Peter Zwicker has loved photography all his life but the demands of day-to-day life kept him away from pursuing his dream of being a photographer full time. After retiring he was able to jump into his studies full time taking workshops and courses with Dave Brosha and Eric Boutilier Brown to hone his craft. He has since become an accredited professional photographer with the Professional Photographers of Canada and is a member of both the Canadian Association of Photographic Art and Visual Arts Nova Scotia. He gives back to the photographic community through his volunteer work on the board of Professional Photographers of Canada and in the community of Lunenburg where he makes his home. More information on Peter can be found on his web site at bacalaophoto.ca.
Peter’s presentation is entitled “How Photography has Saved me from Myself”. It will combine technical tips and tricks learned in his long term study of the craft and from lessons he has learned in the field with insights on how photography has enriched his personal life and community life.
