Please join us this Thursday, August 3, 6 to 8 pm for the opening of “IMAGINED LANDSCAPES”, a special collaborative exhibit with photography by John Berridge and poetry by Anne Simpson.
“Photographed in natural light, the images in this exhibit are the result of experimenting with the effects of light filtered through juxtaposed pieces of coloured glass. The resulting abstracts, always a wonderful surprise, are replete with a wide range of colours and their possible shades.”
– John Berridge
“The poems of Imagined Landscapes were written specifically for this exhibit. While the photos and poems have their own integrity, rather than illustrating each other, they “speak” in a conversation. The inspiration comes from Buddhist “tonglen” meditation, or sending compassion in each of the four directions.”
– Anne Simpson
Sadly John Berridge died before this exhibit will open but was always proud of his collaborations with his friend and colleague in this exhibit.
