INTRODUCING…SHARRON ISNOR AND JO STERN:
SHARRON …“I paint in watercolours and acrylics, media that surprise and amaze for their virtuosity and independence. By exploring light, colour and shape, painting brings me deeper insight into the intensely beautiful landscape and life of rural Nova Scotia.”
JO STERN… Picasso is purported to have said, “ Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Now, mostly grown up, Jo is working assiduously to retrieve her childhood passion for painting, drawing and making stuff. Dividing her time between San Miguel de Allende (Guanajuato, Mexico) and Dublin Shore (Nova Scotia) compels her to see each landscape with new eyes every time she crosses the border. She wants her work to be a little familiar, a little unnerving, not so much pleasing as interrogative.
