To celebrate Canada 150, we’re focusing on Nova Scotia’s iconic lighthouses with an exhibit of 150 paintings, woodturning, pottery, glassworks and jewelry.
The majority of the works in the exhibit are 7-inch by 5-inch paintings displayed en masse, with three-dimensional pieces arrayed around the 1274 Hollis Street gallery. Gallery painters’ styles range from abstract to hyper-realism in media including watercolour, acrylic, oil and encaustic, while 3-D work includes raku pottery and other ceramics, wire, beadwork and glass jewelry, fused and flame-turned glass and a variety of wood work.
The exhibit opens June 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., and will run throughout July.
