Maritime Culture Exhibition Opening – June 25, 2 – 5 pm
Upstairs at ARTsPLACE, the Maritime Culture exhibit “Art from the Sea” will be opening this Sunday, June 25, from 2-5 pm. The show celebrates art inspired by the sea; from driftwood and sea glass collected over the years, to the buoys hung artfully over the neighbour’s shed.
At the same time, the exhibit “Art of Fundy Boats: Then & Now” will be opening at the O’Dell House Museum. This exhibits offers a glimpse at the boats ‘born’, working, and dying in the Annapolis Region, through photographs, paintings, models, and shared experiences of the community
Both exhibits will have their opening celebration this Sunday, June 25 from 2-5 pm, and will run until July 24

The next opening at ARTsPLACE will be July 23rd, with new works by Carrie Allison Goodfellow, Pene Domries, and ARCAC scholarship recipient Alannah Journeay.

Meanwhile, Amanda Rhodenizer’s Parallel Play, Cynthia Henry’s “All you need is Love. And Lobster”, and Charlott Zimmermann’s Morning Sun and Evening Sky – along with Jennifer Angus’ Lookabout – are all still running on the main floor of ARTsPLACE, until July 16. Don’t miss these very diverse shows by four very talented artists.

Call for Volunteers:

The Fundraising Committee is looking for enthusiastic members to assist with an exciting new fundraising event planned for September 23. Help support the work of ARCAC in a great way! Volunteers are needed leading up to and during the event. Contact Suzanne Lee or email

Help feed starving artists! We are seeking volunteers to coordinate and cook the Starving Artist supper during Paint the Town (August 19). We do have a budget for this event so volunteers would not have to seek out food donations. Please email if this is something you are interested in taking on!
