Gallery 78 “Oh Canada – Our Home and Native Land”

Gallery 78 is honoured to present “Oh Canada – Our Home and Native Land”. The gallery was chosen to host this major national juried exhibition of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday. This exhibition also commemorates the 60th anniversary of the SCA. There are 50 artworks by 40 artists representing six provinces from coast to coast. The opening reception will be held on Friday, June 16 from 5 to 7 PM, when the awards will be presented. Five artists will be honoured with awards totaling $3,000, including the prestigious Mary Pratt Crystal Award. This award was created in 2014 in recognition of the artist’s status in the Canadian arts community for over 50 years. Mary Pratt is an honorary member of The Society of Canadian Artists.

Please join us in welcoming artists and directors of the SCA,
