ART | Fate’s Four Favours: Ian Funke-McKay Solo Exhibition
May 5 to 26

Ian Funke-McKay’s solo exhibition, Fate’s Four Favours, will run from May 5th to 26th

at the Ice House Gallery. Currently working in Halifax, Ian is a graduate of NSCAD University with a focus on painting. He is currently building specialized emblems, figurines, and displays that are combined for exhibition purposes. Inspired by the medieval craft of heraldry, Ian looks to explore traditional and experimental uses of colour.

Opening Reception: Friday, May 5th from 7-9pm.

FILM | Sociable! Craft Brewing in Nova Scotia Documentary
May 10, 7:30pm

It’s Nova Scotia Craft Beer Week! To celebrate, the Grace will screen the homegrown documentary Sociable! Craft Brewing in Nova Scotia. This film is the passion project of Helen MacGillivray and Chris Thomas, who spent months on the road touring Nova Scotia’s breweries. Filmmaker Chris Thomas and composer Lee MacDonald will be in attendance to chat and answer questions. Of course, beer will be available for purchase!

Join us for Sociable! and beer on Wednesday, May 10th at 7:30pm. 
Admission by donation. Doors open at 7pm.

MUSIC | Open Mic Night

We’ve been having a great time at our last few Thursday open mic nights. Hosted by Jim White, this is a great opportunity for new and seasoned musicians to bring their talents to the big stage. Everyone’s welcome at the Grace Jollymore Jam!

MUSIC | West Branch & Area Singers and Musicians
May 20, 7:30pm

Summer is just around the corner and what better way to usher in the warm weather than a joyful performance by the West Branch & Area Singers and Musicians! Over 50 singers and 7 musicians will fill the Grace with beautiful gospel, rock n’ roll, old country classics, and celtic music. Admission is by donation with all proceeds going towards the Creamery Square Arts Society.

Come enjoy music, songs and skits on Saturday, May 20th at 7:30pm.
Admission by free will donation. Doors open at 7pm.
