Cupcakes and Collage Event with Rhonda Barrett

Join newspaper collage artist Rhonda Barrett for a few hours at Humani-T cafe on South Park Street. Halifax, N.S. to create a collage, drink some coffee or tea and devour delicious treats in a small group setting. You will be instructed in the technique she knows best; collage with newspaper and glue! At the end of the session you will have a piece that will bring you luck for the rest of the year. Our theme is inspired by St. Patrick’s Day, but, is not limited to that idea. Collage is very versatile.

You will receive for $40 (you must pre-register, message me to do so as space is limited!)
*A 6×6 canvas
*Use of glue, paper cutting tools, cutting board
*Instruction to create your own piece of art to take home with you at the end of the event.
*Food and drink from Humani-T
*Laughs are definitely free!

WHY ONLY A 6X6 CANVAS? Collage takes a lot of time to cover a small surface. 2 hours is really only enough time to do this size.

WHY CUPCAKES? Because they are delicious and I’m a hedonist who believes in treating oneself from time to time. It doesn’t have to be cupcakes though, just treat yourself!

WHY COFFEE? The hedonist thing again. How good is a warm cup of coffee when it’s warm?

WHY COLLAGE? Because it’s an awesome art form that rarely gets as much attention as the other art forms. Also, if you read the newspaper, you have something to make a collage from. Recycle, reuse, be happy!
