Exhibition Grey Matters
Grey Matters is an online collective intelligence art project by Mathew Aldred with participants from around the world connecting via a variety of social media platforms to produce a series of works exploring the concept of grey – literally and metaphorically. The work is a response, in part, to the extremism developing in public discourse, and the sound-bite, click-bait, post-truth culture that feeds it. The first piece is now in progress, and can be viewed online at the Oxford Riverside Gallery website and at the project’s main exhibition space www.greymatters.xyz where there are detailed instructions on how to participate.
‘A Year in Oxford, 2016’ is an exhibition of photographs made by the people living in and around Oxford during 2016 (actually, Cumberland and Colchester Counties). This exhibition is sponsored by Visual Arts Nova Scotia. Photographic submissions are encouraged from professional photographers and the wider public. There is no cost to you. We will process, print, and frame the work. Please email your photograph submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org
Opening Friday 6 January, 5pm-7pm
Runs from 6 January – 10 February
