Seeking new PAINTS artists

The Professional Artists in the Schools (PAINTS) program brings together professional visual and fine crafts artists, educators and students. It provides support for schools throughout Nova Scotia to bring professional artists into their classrooms to work directly with students. We’re always looking for more artists who interested in spending some time working with children and youth. All artists who are members of VANS or NSDCC are eligible. There is no fee to apply or participate. Artists are paid a rate of $40/hour (rate will increase to $50/hour in 2017). We also support some materials, and the artist’s mileage expenses.

For application and program details please visit the PAINTS website. The next deadline for artists to apply is December 1.
