Terroir: A Nova Scotia Survey continues to capture the imagination of visitors near and far since it opened in June. With works by 29 artists, the exhibition includes a range of experienced and emerging artists and makes for a dynamic, engaging and diverse exploration of artistic practice. This is a truly unique opportunity to showcase that talent, and unearth its roots.

The 36th annual Atlantic Film Festival Opening Night Gala film is Maudie, a retelling of the unconventional love story of celebrated Nova Scotia artist Maud Lewis  and her husband Everett, starring Academy-Award nominees Sally Hawkins & Ethan Hawke.

The film will be screened at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium on Thursday, Sept. 15.
Tickets on sale now through the Dalhousie Arts Centre Box Office.

FAMILY SUNDAY – The Maud Experience!

Sunday, September 18, 1 – 4 pm
In conjunction with the upcoming Maudie movie release, discover Maud’s story and her beautiful painted home on exhibition here at the Gallery. Your family will have a fun-filled afternoon of artmaking inspired by this iconic folk artist through explorations of colour, found materials, and local imagery.

As part of this event, a special tour of the Maud Lewis Gallery will start at 1:30 pm.
