Poetry Night at Main & Station on Tuesday 23 August at 8pm.
Join us at the café under the clocktower to enjoy some fun with words.
Come to listen, come to read, come to play. Anyone can participate, anyone can listen.
Everything is optional.
Poems on any subject are welcome. Bring your own work or work by someone else that you like, or simply choose something from the poetry shelf onsite.
If you need a little inspiration, consider Poetry of Possessions & Material Memories!
Do you ever hang on to something just because of the associations and memories it triggers? Write an ode to your favourite yellow socks or a verse about the wooden spoon you feared as child. Or go to the bookshelf (or perhaps the search engine) and find someone else’s thoughts about the stuff they can’t let go of or wish they still had. Or just come hang out. Hope to see you there!
And don’t forget, the international NONESUCH ART ON PAPER AWARDS Parrsboro exposition opened this past Saturday and will remain on exhibit until 10 September 2016. Exhibition hours are Wednesdays through Fridays from 12 noon to 4pm; Saturdays & Sundays from 11am – 6pm; and By Chance or By Appointment.
