Saturday June 18, 6-8 pm Opening Reception ~ Monika Wright at ART LAB

Exhibitions in the Gallery

Art Lab is proud to host a membership sponsored Community Gallery, a space where artists, both professional and amateur, have an opportunity to share their talent with the community.

Each exhibition will be mounted for two and a half weeks and openings of exhibits will usually be held on a Friday between 6 and 8 pm. These openings are an important time for the artists and for Art Lab.  So we encourage you to drop in, meet the artists involved and show your support for the role that art plays in making our community such a great place to live.

If you can’t make an opening, drop by during our regular hours.

Please note that this exhibition opens on a Saturday.

Artist’s Statement
I believe that art has the power to be transformative, to rearrange our vision of the world and create bridges to connect us, to lead us to a greater understanding of the world we share, and those we share it with.

With organic shapes, fluid light, lines and circles, I am employing universal symbols of unity, wholeness and infinity connected by lines, representing the boundaries which separate us, but which also highlights our shared path. What we choose to see and believe will determine how we live, not just where we live. Let’s build the puzzle of our life on this planet with care and empathy.

My art is intended to be collaborative. I hope that you will experience the painting as your own creation as you look at them from every angle; that you will respond with feeling.
