Untangled: The 2016 Annual General Meeting

Join us for our 2016 AGM on Thursday, July 7th!

We will be giving out a FREE 6 months Centre for Art Tapes membership to the first 20 people at the AGM.

Come participate in your media art centre! The Centre for Art Tapes Board of Directors extends a warm invitation to our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, July 7th 2016 at 6pm at the Centre for Art Tapes (2238 Maitland Street). Find the agenda here!

Following our AGM, we will unveil our new website and launch the online catalogue for the audio-art residency-based commissioning project Acoustic Networks. As an homage to composer and artist John Cage, ten artists were invited to create a distinctly unique work in the field of sound art reflecting the complexity and nuances of their expanding art practices. The online catalogue features work by artists Hank Bull, William Engelen, Stephen Kelly, Eleanor King, Léola Le Blanc, Cheryl L’Hirondelle, Christof Migone, Gordon Monahan, Chris Myhr and Lukas Pearse. The works in the Acoustic Networks catalogue are complemented by text by local interdisciplinary artist Claire Hodge. The online catalogue was designed by Matthew Hollett.

Nominations can be accepted from the floor during the AGM, however members interested in serving on the Board are encourage to submit their name and a statement of interest to Renée Gruszecki, Co-chair at operations@cfat.ca. Deadline for expression of interest is July 5th, 2016. A full job description for the CFAT Board of Directors may be viewed here.
